For a boarding program to function successfully it is imperative that strong communication exists between the parents and students, parents and supervisors and students and supervisors.
Two public telephones are in each dormitory catering for incoming calls and homelink, and a direct link telephone to the dormitory supervisor. The Director of Boarding or delegate is always available by mobile telephone. See Contact Monivae.
Boarders are permitted to have their own mobile telephone, but their use is restricted to appropriate times and are not permitted to be used in the day school as per the schools mobile phone policy.
