Studies

Year 11 & 12 students partaking in VCE and VCAL pathways are expected to be following their interests and choosing studies to match their talents and career aspirations.  To be consistent with its aim of encouraging all students to realise their unique potential, Monivae College offers a wide variety of VCE and VCAL pathways with VET course options.

Courses offered:

  • VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education),
  • VET (Vocational Education and Training)
  • VCAL (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning)
  • NAP (New Apprenticeship Program)
  • Or a potentional combination of the above.

Assistance with subject selection, career research and preparation, job applications and course selection is available throughout the Senior School and Middle School years.

Headstart

Headstart is the VCE orientation program thats requires VCE Year 12 classes to begin in the last week of Year 11, after students have finished their examinations.  They attend their new classes where they are introduced to the course that lies ahead and begin active learning.  A small, compulsory assignment is set in each study for the holidays to ensure that the students are ready to get straight into work as soon as they come back to school.
