1998 was the year a group of Monivae Old Collegians in conjunction with the Monivae Board and the MSCs, identified that the college was in need of major upgrades in the general classrooms, the science block and the boys boarding accommodation.
The Monivae Foundation was therefore formed with the purpose of raising financial resources to ensure that the college continued to maintain its presence of providing a quality education experience to the young men and women of regional Victoria.
Since that time, the Foundation has been active in establishing relationships with old collegians, past parents and friends of the college to source necessary funds.
As a result of activity by the Foundation, the upgrade of $1.3million to the classrooms, science block and boys boarding were able to occur .
The Foundation also hosts the Monivae marquee at the Dunkeld Races which has become a 'must do' event.
